Record of Events:
The Lambda Meeting was held in the basement of Rike hall. The last minute presenter for the evening was Charles Long, Faculty Adviser
as Amy Balliett, the scheduled presenter, had personal issues to attend to.
Charles read from Out of All Time [ Amazon | OhioLink ] by Terry Boughner.
He read the stories of Eleanor Roosevelt; Jesus; Greek Thebian Soldiers, Sacred bank and their war with Sparta; Emily Dickinson; Hadrian, Roman emperor (117 BCE - 38 BCE); the Gay Holocaust and the Pink Triangles; Native Americans from several locations; and Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne. This was a insightful look into the history of gay people, and how they have been treated through the time.
