The Rebellion Tour

The Everyday Acts of Rebellion Tour has reached thousands of students, community leaders, and business professionals across the country. Ms. Toledo addresses the headline civil rights issues of the day, and examines the politics and practice of grassroots organizing. Her speeches include a call to action and a discussion about community leadership. She has addressed very specific event themes such as affirmative action, equal pay, women's health, body image, immigration, religion and politics, poverty, global feminism, equal marriage, violence, and reproductive rights. In recent months she has also been asked to address issues of politics and patriotism, and has explored the role of dissent in time of national crisis.

Ms. Toledo has initiated and led campaigns on media activism, including analysis of women, minorities and the media, and the impact of media images on women and girls. She was one of the core leaders in People for Better TV, a collation designed to effect greater access to broadcasting by disenfranchised communities. She has led and participated in many electoral and ballot initiative efforts, and has been a national political analyst on electing feminist women to office. She has delivered hundreds of speeches in every event format, including rallies, community forums, debates, online chats, candlelight vigils, town hall meetings, mass actions, and lectures.
